On this site I will list EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES. These are for all students but they are most valuable for students who have missed or done badly on Quizzes or who have failed to turn in the Required Homework Notes & Class Notes.
Let me explain for clarity:
Quizzes: We will have a total of 11 quizzes and the lowest grade will be dropped. If you do poorly on more than one quiz or if you miss a class quiz getting a grade of 0/10, you will want to do an extra credit assignment to make up for the missed or poorly done quiz. For example, if you miss 2 quizzes, one 0/10 will be dropped but the other 0/10 will be averaged into your Quiz Grade (20% of course grade).
Required Homework Notes & Class Notes: This contributes to your Participation Grade (20% of course grade). If you fail to sumit the Required Homework Notes & Class Notes at the end of class, you will receive a grade of 0/10.
What is required for the Extra Credit Opportunity? You must attend an event approved by Prof. Taylor and you must submit one sheet of paper with a typed description and typed notes from the event on the front and on the back you must have notes on the discussion and questions asked by other attendees at the event. These must be submitted to me no later than 2 days after the event.
Below here I will provide a list of approved Extra Credit Events. If you know of other suitable events, inform me and I will consider approving them for Extra Credit.
